A message for all FPAM members from Deputy State Fire Marshall Maribel Fournier:

The Department of Fire Services (DFS) and the Fire Prevention Association of Massachusetts (FPAM) have been working together to update and streamline the Fire Prevention Officer Credentialing Program.

As this work continues over the next several months, we are requesting that all currently credentialed members refrain from submitting recredentialing applications for Fire Prevention Officer Level I (FPO I) and Fire Prevention Officer Level II (FPO II) until September.

This temporary pause will allow the working group to finalize the program updates and ensure a smooth transition to the revised credentialing process.

We appreciate the patience, understanding, and continued support of the FPAM membership as we complete this important work. Additional information and guidance will be shared as it becomes available.
