Mortgage Companies/26-F

I was called to a house today to conduct a 26-F. The homeowner advised me that he purchased the home approximately 1 year ago during Covid, and the real estate agent told him he did not need a 26-F right away, and he should follow up with the Fire Department after Covid. The bank did an audit of his mortgage and found their was no 26-F on file and told him he needed one ASAP. I expect we will be running in to more of this going forward. I am just curious if anyone else has experienced this. I also thought I would give a heads up that some of us may run in to this.
